Home / How I Build

Every Website, Built By Hand. By One Person.

Most websites are dragged out of a template by a faceless agency. I do the opposite. Every site I create is hand-coded from scratch, built piece by piece, by me. Scroll down and watch a website assemble itself the same way yours would.

The person behind it

Hi, I'm Matt. I Build Every Site Myself.

When you work with MW Creative UK, you work with me. Not a sales team, not an account manager, not a junior the work gets quietly passed to. I run the business on my own from Stoke-on-Trent, which means the person you speak to on day one is the same person writing the code, shaping the words and pressing publish.

I think that matters. You get one honest point of contact, quick answers and someone who genuinely cares how your website performs, because my name is on it too. The animation above is my actual work, built by hand the same way yours would be.

Why it matters

Why I Build Every Site By Hand

Most small business websites today are built on drag-and-drop template builders. They look fine at first glance, but underneath they carry a lot of weight: messy code, features you never use and scripts that slow everything down. That weight shows up where it hurts, in slow load times on a phone and a structure Google finds harder to read.

I take the harder, better route. I write the code myself, line by line, so your website only contains what it actually needs. The result is a site that loads quickly, reads cleanly for search engines and behaves exactly how you want it to. The animation above is not a video or a mock-up. It is the real thing, built the same way your website would be.

Building by hand also means nothing is off-limits. A custom animation, an unusual layout, a booking flow that fits how you actually work: if you can describe it, I can build it. Templates box you in. Hand-coding does the opposite. If you want to see the standard for yourself, my own live demonstration site was built exactly this way.

FAQs

Common Questions

Do you really build websites by hand?

Yes. I write the code myself rather than dragging blocks around a page builder. Hand-coding means your site is faster, cleaner, easier for Google to read and free of the bloat that template builders add. It also means every detail can be exactly how you want it.

Will I be dealing with you or a team?

You deal with me, Matt, from the first message to the final handover. MW Creative UK is run personally by one person, so there are no account managers, no being passed around and no confusion about who is doing your work.

Can I see my website while it is being built?

Yes. I share progress as the site comes together and refine it with your feedback before it goes live, so there are no surprises. Nothing launches until you are happy with it.

Is a hand-coded website better for SEO?

It helps. Clean, lightweight code loads faster and gives Google a tidy structure to read, which both support better rankings. On top of that I build in proper titles, descriptions, headings, structured data and a sitemap on every site.
